Thank You Note
This intervention took place at the London Underground in 2012, in a gesture of appreciation for the work of tube conductors. While I stood and hold the note, the conductors would open the windows and doors of the train to say hello and thank you in return. This symbolic exchange of appreciation took place in response to the difficulties faced by workers for London’s transport system, as well as lack of proper respect for their daily work. The note serves as a metaphor for the services of many workers in different sectors, whose work and efforts go mostly unnoticed.
as long as we stay bridges
being able to accept the flow of ideas and
stand for that which becomes
we activate all kinds of possible sources
totally aware that what we produce
belongs to the whole.
thank you note.
