Oui Pavilion
The photographs in this series, also exhibited in 2010 in Zurich, were first shown during Expo 02, as part of the “Oui” pavilion on Arteplage Yverdon-les-Bains. In their voluptuousness, these silhouettes are an illustration of love and commitment, trust and confidence, dependence and hope. The connection and relation between people is seen outside social formalities; the couples unite to create a sensual visual artefact, a ‘conversation piece’ appealing to our emotions and senses. The postures of the subjects are sensual and erotic, the white background emphasising the idea of purity, relaxation, and a dreamy setting for warm reflection and appreciation. It is a place for love and understanding, a tender look at the beauty of people, those who find confidence in people next to them, and those who exchange their alliances once again – possibly every day.
Inkjet prints, variable dimensions. This project was on display May – October 2002, Artplage Yverdon, Switzerland.
