Bergbild
The Bergbild photographs explore image manipulation as a means to investigate constructed realities and mediated representations. They aim to deconstruct the image and reveal its artificiality. The cold and abstract decomposition of the image forces the viewer to observe the fragmented elements that make the image as a whole. The views portrayed here have little to symbolise, yet they make manifest their underlying artificial boundaries. The images also counter romantic perspectives that dominate cultural representations of nature.
